ABOUT DJ ROB

Rob's passion for music goes back to his childhood. Whereas most kids recorded music off of radio stations and tried hard to edit out the DJs and ads on their tape recorders, Rob went further to try to match beats so that there was a seamless flow of music. These collections included popular songs alongside disco beats from underground radio stations in the area. We still have some of those tapes. So it was a no brainer that in High School he would find himself in front of Turntables in the DJ group 'Freestyle Mixers,' a collaborative group of guys that were multicultural (Puerto Rican, African American, Portuguese, Syrian & Italian) which is how the name Colorblind Productions came about.

In college he was a fixture at Rutgers University, performing sets at the Stress Factory and assorted venues for various fraternities & sororities including Omega Phi Chi, Lambda Theta Alpha, Lambda Theta Phi and Lambda Sigma Upsilon. Residencies over the years have included Dolce/Red Parrot, Destino Lounge, Karma Lounge, Terminal One, Studio 9, Club Ole and Club Miami. He regularly plays in-store events for clients such a MAC Cosmetics, Saks Fifth Avenue as well as ongoing commitments with the City of Elizabeth, American Red Cross of Greater New York, among others.

With a collection of music that spans from a large collection of music genres and Latin and multicultural music, he will tailor his style to fit any clients needs.
